FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- How quickly can an evaluation happen?
- Priority evaluations are typically scheduled within two business days, with a written report within days of receiving records. Standard timelines are confirmed at the first contact.
- Will the employer, school, court, or board accept the evaluation?
- Each sets its own requirements. The practice confirms the requirement in writing before the evaluation begins, and reports answer the questions asked. No outcome can be guaranteed.
- Does every evaluation recommend treatment?
- No. Recommendations match what the person needs. Sometimes that is a program. Often it is outpatient support, education, monitoring, or no treatment at all.
- Can the same clinician evaluate and treat me?
- Not for DOT SAP or employer evaluations; federal rules and professional standards require independent treatment providers. Where a school, court, or board requires an independent evaluation, treatment is referred elsewhere. The approach is explained at the first contact.
- Are video appointments available?
- Yes, while the client is physically located in New Jersey or New York.
- Is insurance accepted?
- The practice is private pay. Treatment clients receive a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Employer- and attorney-requested evaluations are billed under a written agreement.
